In this engagement, that approach helped a U.S.-based cloud human capital management (HCM) software provider achieve an estimated three times the delivery output of a traditional sprint team.

The provider wanted AI to be part of its software experience, not a separate chatbot. Users needed to do more than read answers in a chat window; they needed to interact with AI-generated information and take action directly inside the application.
Because the platform handles payroll and employee data, the AI experience also needed built-in safeguards. It had to detect and remove personally identifiable information (PII), support safe testing, and give the team control over when new features reached customers.
The provider also wanted to rethink how it built software. Under its traditional process, a project could spend around six months in UX and architecture before development began, then move through two-week sprints. That pace no longer matched how quickly the market was moving.

The Mindex team delivered an estimated three times the output of a traditional sprint team, and the AI workspace is now live.
A traditional sprint team delivered about 20 story points per sprint. The Mindex team operated at an estimated 60, with each developer delivering roughly three times their previous output.

Stories moved from definition to working code in one day, with refinements typically finished within hours.
The approach has since expanded across the provider's organization into smaller, focused pods, typically a tech lead and three or four developers.
The teams surfaced and resolved questions as they built, helping keep each three-month milestone focused on the highest-value work.
