Fostering Innovation & Camaraderie: CougarTech Robotics FIRST Team 2228

One of the key values we have engrained in our culture at Mindex, is Innovation.  That's why we wanted to give a quick shout out to the CougarTech Robotics FIRST Team 2228 from Honeoye Falls-Lima (HF-L) and Rush Henrietta (R-H) Central School Districts! This past year they rolled out a new robot drive technology, and as a sponsor, we've been honored to be part of supporting the 46-student team along their journey.

CougarTech Robotics FIRST Team 2228 successfully competed in two major regional competition events with over 60 teams! By showing off their remarkable teamwork and sportsmanship at the Finger Lakes Regional, they earned the Gracious Professionalism Award, recognizing their ability to work together, both on and off the field. 

CougarTech continued their robotic adventure at the Buckeye Regional-- and when not in the competition arena-- they displayed their robot at numerous local community events, spreading awareness and excitement around STEM. The team also supported Middle School STEM education, assisting Odyssey of the Mind and Lego Robotics teams.

Being part of a FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics team not only offers students opportunities for engagement in an environment that fosters fast-paced, creative problem-solving and collaboration but also facilitates unique learning experiences. For many students, this journey provides a clear sense of direction, igniting ambitions towards careers in science, technology, engineering, business, math, and marketing. CougarTech's presence, wherever they ventured, symbolized excellence, innovation, and teamwork.
